After my wife passed away in 2014, I decided to upgrade my education. In 2018, at 79, I applied to the OUA for a bachelor's degree in Criminology, which, fortunately, was through Griffith. Despite not being enthusiastic about school in my youth, I was determined to change my life's course. In 2023, I completed my degree and journeyed to the Gold Coast to graduate at Broadbeach. This was one of my life's most joyous and memorable experiences, a testament to the power of resilience and the joy of accomplishment, especially considering the setbacks I had faced over the years. My marks were good enough, and I managed to obtain a place in the Master's program at Griffith. Now, at 84, I have passed four subjects in the middle of my fifth subject and enrolled for my sixth one. I find all the tutors I have had very easy to talk to and explain things I do not understand, and hopefully, I will do my PhD when this is finished.
