DescriptionOn the 30 September, 1971 - Griffith University was officially created when the Queensland Government passed the Griffith University Act 1971. Our university began teaching on the 10 March, 1975. We started teaching with 451 students enrolled in our four foundation Schools - Australian Environmental Studies, Humanities, Modern Asian Studies, and Science. After just first 50 years of teaching - Griffith University is now ranked a top 300 university in the world, and well over 40 000 students from around the globe study with us.
