The Ship Inn is part of Griffith University's Queensland College of Art (QCA), located at the South Bank campus. The Ship Inn has operated as a hotel/pub since 1865, when it originally opened as The Railway Hotel. The building is heritage-listed (culturally significant) and still operates as licensed premises today. The Ship Inn joins onto the QCA's Griffith Graduate Centre and the upper level is used by the University (and external groups) as a function/conference centre. The image is taken facing east.
