Image of founding Chancellor and Father of the University, Sir Theodor Bray. Sir Theodor was asked to build Griffith University from the ground up, after retiring from a distinguished journalism career. His vision included creating a university that provided fairer access to university education and he established the Griffith University Schools of Australian Environmental Studies and Modern Asian Studies, the first such Schools of their kind to be found in any Australian university.
