Professor Davis was Griffith University's third Vice Chancellor, serving from 2002-2005. Professor Davis can be seen posing beside a commissioned portrait that was unveiled at an official launch. He had a 20 year association with the organisation starting with Griffith in 1985 as lecturer in Public Policy. Professor Davis left the University in 2005 to take up the position of Vice Chancellor with the University of Melbourne.
