Professor Andrew Field was the foundation Deputy Chairman for the School of Humanities at Griffith University. Professor Field was an academic who enjoyed an international reputation for publishing high standard articles and papers. One of his initiatives was the opening in 1976 of Griffith University's Institute of Modern Biography.
