Oral account which describes establishing the School of Australian Environmental Studies provided by foundation School Chairman, Professor Calvin Rose. Professor Rose came to Griffith University from the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) with an international reputation as both scientist and academic. He discusses the challenges in establishing the School which was the first of its kind at any Australian University.
