As a part of the University's 25th Anniversary celebrations, the first of the organisation's South Bank campus new Schools officially opened in 1996. Although The Conservatorium had become part of Griffith in 1991, the Conservatorium had previously been located at Queensland University of Technology's Gardens Point campus (Brisbane City) since 1975.
