June 2015 saw the tenure of our fifth Chancellor, Henry Smerdon AM, commence. Mr Smerdon accepted the position as the University's Chancellor after serving on the University Council since 1997. The image below was taken in 2006 at a graduation ceremony where Mr Smerdon was made a Doctor of the University for his services to our organisation and to the finance sector, particularly for positions he held with the Queensland Government.
