Our Doctor of the University (honorary doctorate) has been awarded since our first year of teaching - 1975. This award is offered by our organisation to individuals that the Honorary Degree Committee (which includes the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor) believe have made remarkable contributions to our society or 'rendered distinguished service to the community'. The list of DUniv recipients below shines a light on some interesting people recognised by our university that are perhaps not everyday names, and yet they have made significant contributions to communities within Australia and around the world.
